The major challenges to develop high pressure catalytic processes at lab scale are the scarce nature of tailor made instrumentation, infrastructure availability and more importantly the expertise. We focus on developing world class advanced instrumentation, chemical/catalytic processes by combining multiple areas of science such as chemistry, mechanical, electronics and programming.
The ultimate goal is to develop processes and catalysts vital for industrial applications by studying the material aspects and employing novel high pressure reactor concepts to elucidate and optimize the performance. The special emphasize is given to create miniaturized high pressure and high-throughput systems which greatly reduces the safety risks while utilizing minimal resources. Renewable hydrogen production, biomass/CO2 conversion, hydrocarbon processing are some areas of our interest.
